Simple Skull Earrings

Today I made a couple of cool simple skull earrings. The beads I use are Howlite stone. It was super easy making this dangle style. What I did is I cut out 3" inches of 20 gauge brass wire. I hammered the end of the wire to create the width so that the skull bead will stay in place. After that I bend the wire in order to make it shape like an ear hook. I use the large permanent ink pen to form that shape. That's how easy it was. I filed the end of the wire to make sure that it is not sharp when it contacts with skin.

That was really fun making these skull dangle earrings.
It's the same method with the other pair (purple skull copper earrings). You can form the ear hook shape anyway you like it.

Polymer Clayholic For Handmade Jewelry

It has been such a long time since my last post. You know how we could get caught up with things. I am like a Nemo jumping out of the tank to the ocean back home LoL. Well, enough for the blah blah blah. So what I've got to show you today is my latest journey. I'm talking about my jewelry creation journey. This time, it has so many intersections for me and I mean 'distraction from imagination'. Some of you who has experience with polymer clay creation would know that you could go anywhere with your creativity. Is it a good thing  to have many ideas? Yes. Could that be a con? Yes, because of no focus. It is though ok for me try every possible technique just because I am sort of beginner to the clay art.

I'm more like a neutral person so that's why I like using solid color, earthy tone. To the left is the earrings made of black polymer clay. I use the gold acrylic pain to enhance the piece. As you can see, the clay was mold to represent the Angel Guardian.

One thing I always like to keep in mind when making jewelry is to make a meaningful piece. Pieces that have its messages are more interesting and valuable. Before, I haven't thought about doing so but now it makes more sense to me. Like these earrings, it is very thoughtful and gives you a reason why you want to own them or give them to your family and friends.

To the right, this is my favorite piece. Again, I used black clay but why not make it more precious by adding gold to it, right? I don't know if there is any real gold leaves out there but you can have the gold leaves with wonderful deep purple pollens like this one. ^_^

My next experiment will be using resin with the clay. Please stay tune to see the next journey.

You can click on any of the picture to go to see more information and purchase the earrings. I will lead you to my eBay store where you will find unique handmade beaded jewelry. What I Made Today

Rarely I have Monday off so I went up to the loft just to get my hands down on beading. It was such a good day outside. So I made many earrings and did some photo shoots outside the apartment. The sun is generous enough today and I thought I didn't have  to create too professional background for photographing. I just use the cool coffee cup for hanging my earrings but had to make sure that I made a good focus of those earrings. Here they are in the pictures below.

Each is unique handmade jewelry. I am always in love with handmade jewelry design, especially bead jewelry. Handcrafted jewelry has such sentimental value that the artists have put in them. There is more guarantee for you that the piece is one-of-a-kind (only one made), not like the repetition collection.

What Is New This Month

I have simple cool design to share with you this month. Lately, I love using kidney ear hook wire for making earrings. Using the kidney ear hook wire is easy-to-wear and you can put different charms on to the wire if you want to. There is no closed loop where the charm is positioned at so you can play with your own style, just like the picture you see.

The large kidney ear hook wire is very simple and stylish. You don't have to worry about the earring falling out of your earlobe because the wire is securely closed at the back part.  If worry about having a large earlobe, this style is definitely perfect for you.

As I'm writing this blog, I have just got an idea of offering 3-in-1 earrings. I will make three different charms that come with a pair of kidney ear hook wire. Yes, that's right! Please stay tune for what is to come.

What Popular In My Store

What surprises me the most is when I sold something that I haven't thought I would. The green Murano glass bead copper wire wrapped is simply unique. I love copper-tone jewelry and this pair is totally original style. This style has been a good selling all year long. The wire enhance the bead look and also secures the piece quality.

This blue natural stone is imperfectly perfect. When I create handmade jewelry, I like to choose the material with a little touch of its own texture just like this blue stone that you see. Maybe that is why people like this pair so much.

This one is still a new-comer but again it become one of the best seller right now. It is summer and this color is calling you, isn't it. The lever-back ear wire is very cool style. This style gives a different feel from using just regular french ear wire. I even love to wear it to work many times.

To your right is the white Agate gemstone with silver wire wrapping style. This large briolette bead is definitely an eye-catching in this summer. I thought this pair could be a every-season one to enjoy. I love to use wire wrapping technique with my handmade jewelry design. It helps secure the quality of the piece and gives the handcrafting look.
